we took the scenic route
I was Online and found out about the Sauvie Is. Lavender Festival. So we decided to take Hwy 30 up to Great Wolf Lodge and stop at Sauvie Is. Why don't we live here? was my 1st question. So we tootled around the Island and stopped for some beautiful Lavender and learned about silk worms too! (they only live in Mulberry trees & spin 1 mile of silk in their cocoon) We dreamed of living on a Houseboat someday and of course had to stop on the side of the road to let someone go potty (thank goodness for boys)!

That place is beautiful! Thanks for the pics! Looks like you had great trip to Great Wolf too. I can't wait to take the boys there in a year or two. :)
